The first series of OHADA Uniform Acts has now come into effect. Some publishers are distributing them. Now, it is necessary to make them accessible. This is the ambition of the commented publication of these Acts carried out by Juriscope.

The one-volume edition is the result of the collaboration of about ten high-calibre lawyers (practitioners and theoreticians) working in the different member countries of OHADA. They take into account and analyse the preparatory work and the local environment in order to give life to the black-letter provisions. This helps to understand the latter’s possible applications in anticipating court interpretations.

The commentaries are co-ordinated by Professor Filiga Michel SAWADOGO, Rector of the University of OUAGADOUGOU (Burkina-Faso), Professor Paul-Gérard POUGOUE, Vice-Rector of the University of Yaoundé II (Cameroun) et Professor Joseph ISSA SAYEGH of the University of ABIDJAN (Ivory Coast).

The treaty, the procedural regulation of the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration ("Cour Commune de Justice et d’arbitrage"), and the first six Uniform Acts are commented concisely in accompaniment of the important provisions of these laws in order to facilitate the understanding of the public at large.
